Knots

This weekends racing resulted in a lot of knots. Yesterday I did not feel a hundred percent after the herculean effort on saturday to break an hour. I looked at the results online and saw that I would have placed better in the 3's than I did in the 4's so I am not that dissappointed. I think next year I should do better. I now know how to push myself to feel like absolute crap. Yesterday I woke up and I had knots on my ass. I can feel them with my hand. I have never had that. The way I can discribe it is when I sit down it feels like your sitting on a pencil. And you can roll back and forth on them. It is really wierd but cool at the same time. I also woke up with my legs spasming all over. Like a guy doing a pectoral dance my legs were a movin in bed yesterday morning. I still was hacking up white and yellow gunk from my lungs. So I was brilliant in deciding to doing RFK since I pretty much did not recover from saturdays TT. I came to rfk with a goal of just sitting in the pack for the whole race. I did not care what place I got as long as I finished so I pretty much accomplished that. My legs all day hurt. I had a hard time riding up a hill earlier at home really showed I was tired. So just getting to sit in a race was good. I was able to play around with the field a bit but not as much as I normally do. About half way through I started to get those chills again. I just played it cool and just sat in. I was amazed at how easy it was to sit like 20 spots back. I might do that more often. I liked the course and was surprised on how some close calls were avoided. I really cant wait for reston next weekend because it is going to be technical and fast. Near the end of the race I started to get shuffled towards the back like a fool. So I came out on the right side. Who ever let me out of the middle thank you. But I shot up the right hand side. Got behind Mike May and they were whipping up the speed up at the front. I could not get my leg speed up and was shutting down. So I pulled off the side and let others who felt better go ahead. I just did not have any gas. I normally can hold onto things like that but my legs felt just utterly wasted. I am glad I pulled out when I did and not give up in the turn. I hate when guys do that, they sit up in the turn and they are in tenth position. But at least I got to watch the sprint. I talked to Ryan Braken before the race and told him he looks to be a good sprinter and he gave the I would not call myself that. But he held them off so I am calling him a sprinter. I crossed the line and went for shade. I was sooooo cooked I could not stand or see straight. I have to stop going to races dehydrated and when I am still sick. So if I am still sick by wednesday I am going to the doctor and if I am still sick by Reston I am just going to sit and watch the race. I do not want to ruin my whole season. So I finished and was happy with that. I am not proud of my 50th place but am surprised I finished. Im gonna take it easy for a few days to kick this minor infection.

Sorry for no photo's or video this week. We forgot my camera back at home.
